2010 WPGA ANNUAL COMPETITION

Be part of the group of photographers that are shifting the world of photography: enter your images to one of the most challenging and rewarding photographic competitions. DEADLINE EXTENDED TO 30TH JUNE 2010

Until the end of this month you have the chance to enter with discounted entry fees. If you have your images ready to submit this is your chance to profit from the savings of the Special Discounted Deadline until March 30th, 2010.

Professional, non Professional and Students will compete separately in three different sections in this second edition. There will be 25 categories in each section, and each category will have two genres: single image, and series or portfolios. Each genre will be judged as a different category to encourage a broad spectrum of submissions.

In each genre of every category of the different sections WPGA will select 10 finalists, which will be announced online. Those finalists will participate in the final selection: in each genre of every category in the three sections, judges will give First, Second, and Third prize, making a total of 450 awards.

WPGA 2010 Emerging Talent of the Year: US$ 1,500 cash prize, Free round trip ticket and 3-days lodging to attend the Awards Ceremony, which will take place in Madrid at The Circle of Fine Arts in November 2010. WPGA Humanitarian Documentary Grant 2010: US$ 3,000 cash prize, Free round trip ticket and 3-days lodging to attend the Awards Ceremony, which will take place in Madrid at The Circle of Fine Arts in November 2010. COPYRIGHT: WPGA recognizes that the author retains full ownership of the image copyright. Participants warrant that their photographs may be reproduced for the purpose of marketing and promoting WPGA contests, in catalogs, posters, postcards, publications, and on the Internet. Such use is granted for not more than two years after the announcement of the awards, and without payment to the photographer or featured models. Photographers will receive photo credits with each use, and will allow WPGA to sub-license their photographs to the press for reproduction in connection with the contest and WPGA exhibitions.
