October brings migrating birds, rutting deer, animals preparing for hibernation, colorful mushrooms, a change in flora, and even penguins laying their eggs. It is a perfect time of year to take wildlife photographs all around the world. Include 2 of your favorite photos of plants or animals in the wild into the Wildlife Photo Contest. “Wild” can be on safari or even in your suburban neighborhood, but please refrain from entering photos of animals in captivity.Voting and judging will occur October 25th through November 1st (EST).

The guest judge this month is Bruce Dorn. Bruce began his career as a Still Photographer and then subsequently spent 20 years in Hollywood working as a director and producer of commercials. Bruce is a WD Creative Master, a Corel Painter Master, and one of Canon’s most active Explorer’s of Light. An Outdoorsman and Adventurer, Bruce is also the Senior Photographer for Overland International, the publisher of adventure magazine, The Overland Journal
