Waste To Photo 2019

Waste To Photo 2019, the 3rd edition of the photo contest connected to the Sardinia Symposium (International Waste Management and Landfill Symposium).

The competition is open to anyone and it aims to illustrate through powerful photography the differences, contradictions, difficulties and progresses of Waste Management throughout the world.

Suggested thematic areas are as follows:

Waste and Society • Waste and Art: creative reuse, sculptures, etc. • Waste and Resources: use of new materials, original methods of reuse and recycling, etc. • Waste and Urban transformations: wastewater management, state-of-the-art landfills, uncontrolled dumps, functional recovery of landfills, etc. • Waste and Architecture: buildings for waste collection, transfer stations, landscaping of old landfills, etc. • Waste and Nature

During the Symposium, a photography exhibition will be set up using the most significant shots selected by the Organising Committee.

Photos should be submitted by e-mail to [email protected] no later than 31st May 2019.

COPYRIGHT: The rights and intellectual property rights for the images will remain with the authors who, free of charge, agree to authorise Eurowaste Srl and Cisa Publisher to use the photos submitted to the competition.
All delegates shall assume responsibility for the items and people depicted in their work, and the Organisers shall not be held in any way liable for the contents therein. The contestant should notify any human subjects photographed as provided for by Article 10 of Law 675/96 and
subsequent amendments established by Legislative Decree 196 dated June 30th 2003; moreover, if the images concerned contain data that may be deemed sensitive and/or personal, the contestant should likewise obtain consent to circulate the images. Additionally, submission
of images by contestants is based on the assumption that the author is in possession of a release note should the persons, items or buildings photographed be subject to photographic restrictions.
As stated previously, all personal data provided at the time of photo submission will be used for the purpose of the competition and participation in the latter is based on the assumption that authorisation for the handling of personal data has been provided. USAGE RIGHTS: The rights and intellectual property rights for the images will remain with the authors who, free of charge, agree to authorise Eurowaste Srl and Cisa Publisher to use the photos submitted to the competition for the following purposes: printing of a catalogue or other informative material, publication on the websites of the aforementioned companies, and on the Symposium website, use on social media sites relating to the competition, use as a cover on Detritus Journal (published by Cisa Publisher), and to be exhibited and or presented during displays relating to the Symposium.
