The UK has some of the world’s best wildlife, but not many people realise it. We want to promote the wildlife of the UK so we are asking you to send us your best shots of the UK’s wildlife and we have lined up some decent prizes for the best in each category. We will also donate £500 to a UK wildlife charity to be nominated by the winner.

Categories

• Mammals – Some 65 land mammal species occur in the UK, including bats, but how many can you see?
• Birds – Plenty of choice at any time of year.
• Insects & bugs – The most numerous, but are they the least photogenic?
• Landscapes & nature reserves – Anywhere that wildlife can be seen, which is just about anywhere.
• Reptiles & amphibians – With just 12 native species to choose from, probably the hardest category to compete in.
• Marine life – On or under the sea, send us the best that the UK has to offer; fish, whales, dolphins, seals, coral or….. Surprise us.
