When I think of summertime in the South so much comes to mind. The thick Dixie dew covering the fields in the mornings, the damp heat of mid-day when everything slows down, and the cool of the evening that beckons you back outside. This is the South’s season. White skies, long days, crisp shadows, cold drinks, being lazy, sitting for a spell, gardens, swimming, hitting the beach, escaping to the mountains, picnics, dog days, big tomatoes, sweet melons, church fans, the occasional breeze. We want you to tell us what the summer is for you. In an image. Or two. Or three.

About the Exhibition:

South x Southeast Photo Gallery, Molena, Georgia will host an exhibition of curated images June 1 – July 31, 2017. A reception honoring the photographers will be held June 10, 6-pm. Ms. Grahame will be present at the Artist’s Reception and will give a juror’s talk. Other photography-related events are being planned for earlier in the day. All work must be available for purchase with the photographer receiving 60% of the purchase price.
