The Nature Conservancy Australia, one of the world’s largest conservation organisations, is holding an Australia wide photo competition. Categories include landscape, mobile, people in nature, wildlife and urban, because nature is all around us!

Supporting and judging this year’s competition is one of Australia’s most accomplished wildlife and nature photographers, Michael Snedic. This year there will also be a ‘People’s Choice award’.
Entrants can get their family and friends to vote for them, to be in the running to win this category.
There are over $5,000 worth of prizes to be won including a workshop with Michael Snedic and 2 nights’ at O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat and winner’s photos printed on canvases thanks to Streets Imaging. Entries close 24 July. To enter, visit

PRIZE DETAILS: All Finalists and Highly Commended photos will be featured in The Nature Conservancy Australia Calendar 2016, on social media and on our website. Overall Winner: The overall winner of the photo competition will receive a prize pack valued at over $1,500! This will include 2 nights’ accommodation in a Mountain View Room at O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat in Queensland and $500 cash towards flights or spending money. The winner will also receive an exclusive 1:1 photography session with Michael Snedic and a signed copy of Michael’s coffee table book. People’s Choice Award: A photographer’s adventure pack worth over $500, which includes a trail backpack and digital camera. Plus, you’ll receive a 20×30 inch canvas of your winning photo from Streets Imaging! Category Winners: A 20×30 inch canvas of your winning photo from Streets Imaging! COPYRIGHT: By submitting a photo and taking part in the competition, each Entrant (including all Finalists) agrees that (1) the photo they have submitted may be published from time to time, free of charge, in one of several of Australian media publications and TNC’s online and printed publications if the Judging Panel selects the photo as a finalist; and (2) the Photo is the Entrant’s original work and does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any other person or entity. Finalists will be duly attributed as the photographer of the entry in any publication. USAGE RIGHTS: By submitting a photo and taking part in the competition, the Finalists thereby grants to The Nature Conservancy a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, publish, adapt and communicate the Photo anywhere in the world. The Finalists acknowledge and agree that The Nature Conservancy is free to use the Photo and to exercise its rights in relation thereto. The Finalists agree to execute any documentation required to give effect to The Nature Conservancy’s rights under this clause, including any required moral rights waivers.
