Who? The Lumen Prize Exhibition is an annual award for digitally created fine art. In it’s first year the four selected winners shared US$5250 of prizes and the jury-selected final 50 went on a global tour that stopped in galleries and arts venues in Cardiff, London, Riga, Shanghai and Hong Kong.

When? Call for entries opens April 2 and closes July 31. The 100 works selected for the Lumen Online Gallery will go on display in September with a public vote for the People’s Choice Prize. The 50 works selected for the Lumen Prize Exhibition will be announced at the end of the month. A Winner’s Show of these 50 works will begin on October 2 at Cardiff, Wales. The top four winners will be announced on October 10 and the first stop of our global tour will be Gallery 61, W61st New York City.

What? The jury is made up of eminent artists, curators, gallerists.

Gordon Young, noted Public Art artist; Ivor Davies RCA, Artist and President of the Royal Cambrian Academy; Anne Farrer PhD, program direct of Sotheby’s Institute, London; Grace Glueck, NYC based cultural editor for the New York Times; Valerie Hammond, artist and lecturer at NYU and Columbia University; Barbara Isenberg, LA-based arts critic and writer; Laurent Louyer, London based Creative Director, Creatmosphere; Yang Yongliang, Shanghai based digital artist whose work has been collected by the British Museum as well as numerous private collections internationally.

Entry Requirements: We are looking for digital fine art of exceptional merit, the work submitted must be predominantly digital in its creation. We welcome both still images, interactive works and time based/moving image works.
