The contest consists of two (2) rounds of evaluation for each channel (amateur and professional). In Round One of each channel, a panel of Photo District News experts in photography (the “Judges”) will each review a portion of the entries and select a group of entries to proceed to Round Two on the basis of creativity, sense of place and capturing the moment (the “Judging Criteria”). In Round Two of each channel, the Judges will collectively select, from among the entries selected in Round One, the prizes associated with each channel, based on the Judging Criteria
Winners will be contacted by the end of June. Professional winners’ work will be featured in the September 2011s issue of PDN magazine and in a winners’ gallery on PDNonline.com
Contest Prize & TERMS
Four First Place Winners: $100 Gift Certificate from ADORAMA and a $100 Gift Certificate for CANSON INFINITY MEDIA.
All winners will receive digital cameras. All professional first place winners will receive a PHOTOSERVE PORTFOLIO ($860 VALUE).
Winning images will be featured in PDN'S September issue of PDN MAGAZINE.
People's Choice * Winner will be published in the winners' gallery and receive a "swag bag". (professional and amateur categories will be combined. There will be ONE winner) ELIGIBILITY: International Not eligible to enter? - Find contest where you are.
COPYRIGHT: You retain copyright to your photograph and the Sponsors may not sell your photo entry for a fee USAGE RIGHTS: All entries may be posted online so that viewers may view all competing entries. And winning entries may be used in connection with the Contest and promotion of the Contest for a period of 24 months from the date winners are notified.
