Citycycling.co.uk is proud to announce the launch of a new photography competition for photographers worldwide.

We want you to capture the diversity in cycling the world over, with the competition open to anyone no matter what age or nationality. The fixed gear scene, mountain biking, folders, racing, stunts and jumps, we want to see it all.

And with a first prize of £400 it’s a competition well worth entering.

The competition is split into four categories, with the winner in each category going forward for the overall prize.

1. Urban

We’re looking for shots here that show the bike’s place in the modern urban landscape, or that display just what you can do with a bike in towns and cities.

2. Action

Not necessarily ‘fast’ shots, maybe you’ve got some great pictures of trials riders holding it together or making it across a gap jump. Of course speed can intimate action perfectly, whether it’s a mountain bike hurtling down some singletrack, a time trial rider making the last push, or a BMXer getting some air

3.Love of Cycling

Those who cycle a lot can rattle off a list of a dozen reasons to ride a bike, and we want to see photos that bring that sense of enjoyment, that answer to the simple question of ‘why’, to life. Let us know what cycling means to you in an image

4. Miscellaneous

We’re a diverse bunch, cyclists, let’s see how well you can capture that diversity.
