The 2010 International Aperture Awards
Amateur and professional photographers are invited to compete on a global stage for over US$80,000 in cash and prizes. Late entries will be open from 16th October to 31st October. The Open Entry Fee during the late period will be US$45.00 per image. The Amateur Entry Fee during the late period will be US$25.00 per image.
Entries are now open for The International Aperture Awards, one of the world’s richest online photography competitions. This is the 3rd year of the competition, which is open to professional and amateur photographers worldwide.
With a total prize pool of over US$80,000, including a first prize in the Open competition of US$20,000 in cash, the competition attracts some of the best international professional and amateur photography.
The judging panel represents the ‘best of the best’ of international professional photographers. In addition to the huge prize pool, the success of the competition is in no small part due to the quality of this panel of top industry professionals. Judges include head judge and Grand Master of Photography Peter Eastway, Rocco Ancora, Gavin Blue, Gay Campbell, Daniel Capobianco, Jim Fiscus, Christian Fletcher, Chris Lalonde and Ray Lowe, among others.
The competition is held over 8 categories in the Open division, and 3 categories in the Amateur division. These include People & Portrait, Sport, Landscape, Science & Nature, Commercial, Advertising & Fashion, Abstract/Illustrative, Photojournalism and Wedding.
Contest Prize & TERMS
COPYRIGHT: The International Aperture Awards recognizes that you retain full ownership of the copyright in each Entry. All entrants understand that any image submitted to the competition may be used by The International Aperture Awards, and its Event Partners, for marketing and promotional purposes of the event only. You hereby grant Aperture Awards a non-exclusive, irrevocable license in each Entry throughout the world in perpetuity in all media for any use directly or indirectly connected with the Competition, including, but not limited too: 1. judging the Competition 2. displaying the winning entries and runners up at public exhibitions promoting The International Aperture Awards and organized by The International Aperture Awards 3. inclusion within the Website, a Awards book, magazine or similar 4. inclusion within any materials promoting of the Competition and / or any exhibition organized by The International Aperture Awards or its Event Partners, in the promotion of The International Aperture Awards 5. inclusion on Competition- and exhibition-related products to be sold by The International Aperture Awards or any third party following the individual agreement by the author 6. sub-licensing the Entries to the press for reproduction in connection with the Competition and any exhibition 7. allowing viewers of the Website to view images on a computer screen, PDA or mobile telephone and store such pages in electronic form on disk or on a PDA or mobile telephone (but not on any server or other storage device connected to a network) for their personal, non-commercial use only. 8. being chosen and entered into promotional competitions by The International Aperture Awards or its Event Partners for marketing and promotional purposes. Any photograph used by The International Aperture Awards shall carry a credit line.
