Texas State Parks Photo Contest
Enter your most inspirational state park photo(s) in the Texas State Parks Photo Contest. Texas State Parks offer plenty of opportunities for amazing photographs and outdoor family fun. Whether you capture the look on your child’s face after she catches her first fish, a magnificent sunset from a historic overlook, or a surprise encounter with wildlife, you’re sure to bring home treasured photographs — and memories.
The subject of all entries MUST be a designated Texas State Park or Texas State Natural Area. For a complete list of Texas State Parks and Natural Areas, see www.TexasStateParks.org
Entries MUST be uploaded to the “Texas State Parks 2013 Photo Content” Flickr photo group
Tag your photo(s) with the name of the Texas State Park or Natural Area, for example: “Brazos Bend State Park” or “Lost Maples State Natural Area”
Each participant may enter three (3) images per Texas State Park or Natural Area with a maximum of six (6) images total.
Texas Parks and Wildlife staff will choose the top three winners based on composition, creativity, and overall impression.
Contest Prize & TERMS
2nd Place: Camping Weekend at the Texas State Park or Natural Area of your choice, as available on selected dates, to include entry and campsite fees.
3rd Place: An Outdoor Family Workshop for 6 persons, as available on selected dates. ELIGIBILITY: Photos MUST be a Texas State Park or Texas State Natural Area Not eligible to enter? - Find contest where you are.
COPYRIGHT: You will retain all rights to any photograph you submit — including ownership if applicable USAGE RIGHTS: By entering the 2013 Texas State photo contest , you grant the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department a nonexclusive right and royalty free license, in perpetuity, to:
Publish the images for Texas Parks and Wildlife’s purposes in any format, including on TPWD’s website, social media accounts and in TPWD’s publications or presentations, such as newsletters, brochures, fundraising appeals, public service announcements, grant proposals, reports, awards, thank-you cards, displays, mailings and invitations.
Use, in connection with the Photo Contest, your name, city, state and country of residence in promotions and other publications.
Keep the files provided, and to archive the images on CD or in other electronic forms, so that your photos can be used to support our mission and be properly credited.
As conditions of this permission, Texas Parks and Wildlife shall credit all photographs with the caption “© Person's Name” when the full name is available, or by the participants Flickr username when the participant’s full name is unavailable.
