Strength For Life
Charity Age International is calling for striking images of older people from around the world for its 2016 photo competition: Strength For Life. Whether they’re images showing the challenges older people face in developing countries or insights into later life globally, the theme ‘Strength For Life’ is open to interpretation, but Age International is looking for thought-provoking photos representing older people from all walks of life.
The competition is being supported by The Guardian and is free to enter, but the charity appreciates and welcomes donations towards its vital, life-changing work with vulnerable older people in some of the poorest countries in the world.
Entries will be judged by a prestigious team of judges that includes the Photo Editor of The Guardian, Roger Tooth; award-winning Guardian photo journalist David Levene; and News Editor at Charity partner Silver Travel Advisor, Roger Bray.
Contest Prize & TERMS
There are two categories: Amateur and Professional. The Amateur category winner will win a class in street photography with a professional photographer, courtesy of The Guardian. The winner of the Professional category will receive a £500 voucher from Calumet Photographic. Not eligible to enter? - Find contest where you are.
COPYRIGHT: Entrants retain full copyright over their images. USAGE RIGHTS: By submitting images to the competition, you are agreeing to grant Age International a perpetual royalty-free license to use those images in any of their publications, on the website and/or any promotional material. Where appropriate, reasonable efforts will be made to credit the photographer, though this may not always be possible.
