Spring 2011 Undergraduate Photography Survey
We seek to create an exchange between differing photographic programs and their students, to foster a dialogue of understanding of the differing approaches and methods of instruction found at institutions throughout the United States and to actively support emerging artists by showcasing their work.
The intent of the cash awards is to encourage/provide photographers of all levels some funding to use for the creation of their art. Students in any undergraduate program with a concentration in photography can submit any photographically derived work.
Contest Prize & TERMS
PRIZE DETAILS:
The top selected student photographer will receive a cash prize of $500.00 in addition to being included in the annual publication (book) as well as being included in the Best of Show Exhibition.
The top three selected student photographers will be included in the annual publication (book) and will receive a copy of the book. They will also be included in the Best of Show Exhibition.
The top ten selected student photographers will be included in the annual publication (book) and receive a copy of the book.
Featured artists (instructors) will also be included in the annual publication (book) and receive a copy of the book.
The instructor listed on the entry form will also receive a cash prize of $500.00. ELIGIBILITY: Students in any undergraduate program in USA Not eligible to enter? - Find contest where you are.
COPYRIGHT: Copyright and all other rights remain that of the photographer. Any photograph used by Hit That Shutter shall carry the photographer's credit line. USAGE RIGHTS: All entrants understand that Hit That Shutter may use any image submitted to the competition for marketing and promotional purposes including any media such as exhibitions, print and digital media. The Artist agrees Hit That Shutter may reproduce his or her image(s) for promotional purposes. All selected images will be published and the Top Ten selected artists will receive a copy of the finished book.
