The ArtGemini Prize celebrates international contemporary art for emerging and established artists around the world. The Selfie competition is its latiest opportunity for expanding its reach to all artists.

So, can you shoot a winning selfie? Can you create a new kind of selfie? Submit up to 3 artistic selfie images, taken by mobile phone only, for the chance to win a cash prize and have your work exhibited at the Menier Gallery in London.

The submissions deadline is 7 July, 2015 What to enter: 1) Artist Statement An artist statement (max 50 words) is recommended and follow by a curriculum vitae (CV) if shortlisted. 2) Payment After 14 May, you will need a credit/debit card ready to pay via Paypal (a Paypal account is not required). N.B.Use your full name for reference on your payment. 3) Acceptable Media Your selfie images must be captured by mobile phone only. 4) Image Size Images must be in JPEG format recommended ideal size at 1MB with minimum 250KB, maximum 2MB. For best viewing, we recommend a maximum resolution of 300 dpi and pixel dimension of 1025 pixels or more wide. Remember to provide a high quality image as it may be used in promotional material and website. 5) Title of Works You must include the title of your work and the year it was created. 6) Labelling Works Only one image of each work must be submitted and should be titled with artist’s surname, then first name and title of work, e.g. LEE, John, ‘Untitled’ 7) Age of Works You may enter up to three original works created in the last three years. Please do not send your physical artwork to us unless you are notified that you are shortlisted. Preparing Your Works For Sale: 1) Framing and Printing To encourage worldwide participation, we offer optional printing and framing services. 2) Availability For Sale Any work submitted must be available for sale in the exhibition if shortlisted. You must state an estimated sale price of the work, including VAT if you are registered, ie the price a gallery would normally charge. Sensible pricing is recommended. ArtGemini Prize 2015 The winners will be announced by the judges at the ArtGeminiPrize 2015 finalists’ exhibition in London. The Public Choice Prize is open for voting by the public during the exhibition and the winner will be announced at the close of the show. Vanessa Champion (UK) Fine Art Photojournalist, writer, photographer and member of the Royal Photographic Society. She is founder of PhotoAid Global and director of the creative agency, Dragonfly Communications. Thorsten von Overgaard (Denmark) Danish photographer, writer, educator and specialists in fine art, portrait and documentary photography.
