British Waterways Scotland’s annual photography competition has a new look for 2009! There are now a number of categories to enter with exciting new prizes on offer as well as the first ever mobile phone competition.

All you need to enter is a camera and an eye for the perfect picture! The categories and prizes are as follows:

Age Group 0-8
This category is open to any canal related image taken by youngsters 8 years old and below.
Winning Prize: Nintendo DS

Age Group 9-17
This category is also open to any canal related image taken by anyone within the age group.
Winning Prize: Nintendo Wii

Age Group 18+ Category 1: Buildings & Structures
This category is open to canal related images taken by over 18’s relating to Buildings & Structures only.
Winning Prize: £150

Age Group 18+ Category 2: People & Places
This category is open to canal related images taken by over 18’s relating to People & Places only.
Winning Prize: £150

Age Group 18+ Category 3: Environment & Wildlife
This category is open to canal related images taken by over 18’s relating to Environment & Wildlife only.
Winning Prize: £150

Age Group 18+ Category 4: Boats & Water
This category is open to canal related images taken by over 18’s relating to Boats & Water only.
