Scotland’s Nature Festival Photo Competition 2013
This year the competition’s theme is “I spend time in nature because…”.
We would like you to send in photographs of places you go regularly or perhaps somewhere you only went once but that affected you deeply. Your image could be of a landscape or, capture in small scale some aspect of the place that you were in, for example focus on a single plant or animal.
Tell us in words why this place and its nature is special to you. You could describe your experience in the form of a short paragraph or even a poem. We want to know why nature is special to you. This accompanying information will play an important part in judging your entry.
Contest Prize & TERMS
2nd Prize: Nikon D3200 digital SLR camera with 18-55mm VR lens kit - black(24.2MP) 3 inch LCD; Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4; Camera case; Hahnel Triad 30 Lite professional aluminium alloy 4-section tripod with 360 quick release ball head and carrying case; SD card 16GB; Spare battery.
3rd Prize: Pentax X5 Bridge Camera - black (16MP, 26x wide angle optical zoom) 3 inch tilt LCD; Camera case; Hama Star 62 tripod with carry case; SD card 16GB; Spare batteries and charger. USAGE RIGHTS: By participating in this competition, the photographer agrees that his/her pictures may be used, free of charge, by Scottish Natural Heritage, in exhibitions and publications of the organisers. The photographer will be named in every publication.
