Red for Heart Photography Competition
To enter, please think about what your heart means to you. There is only one rule; you must include the colour red in the photograph! There are three categories – Adult, Student and Junior
The competition closes on 6 January 2012 and the winners will be selected by our expert panel of judges and have their image displayed in the windows of our shops across the UK.
A selection of winning and highly commended photos will be featured in the Independent on Sunday at the end of January 2012.
The categories
Adults: Open to amateur and professional photographers who will be 16 or over on the closing date. £10 entry fee.
Students: Open to all students aged 16 or over undertaking full or part-time courses at a UK-based college or university. You must supply the name of your college/university as part of the registration process. If selected as a winner you will be required to provide proof of your student status otherwise you will be disqualified. £5 entry fee.
Junior: You must be aged 15 or below on the closing date of Sunday 6th January 2012. You must obtain your parent’s or guardian’s permission before entering the competition as part of the registration process. £5 entry fee.

COPYRIGHT: Copyright of all images submitted for this competition remains with the respective entrants. All images submitted must be the work of the individual submitting them, the entrant must own the copyright and must not have been published elsewhere or have won a prize in any other photographic competition.
If your photograph features any person or people in the forefront of the picture so that they are instantly recognisable, they should be aware that they are being photographed and permission should be obtained from all involved (or their parent’s/guardian’s permission if under 16). If, however, it is a scenic shot or an action shot where the subject is part of a wider scene and/or is not clearly recognisable and in addition it is not feasible to obtain permission, the image will be accepted without permission. USAGE RIGHTS: By entering this competition you are giving the BHF the licence to use the image(s) for any BHF publication or promotion for a period of no more than three years - free usage rights. Where an image is used, the photographer will always be credited.
