Plymouth Wildlife and Nature Photography Competition
Are you a budding photographer and nature enthusiast? OPAL South West is running a competition to find photos that capture the diverse range of wildlife and nature in Plymouth.
The competition is open to all ages, and we particularly encourage beginners and young photographers to enter.
There are four competition categories and three age groups – Under 14s, 14-18, and over 18s. There will be a winner (and a highly commended photo) for each age group in each category.
Contest Prize & TERMS

COPYRIGHT: You must be the sole author and owner of the copyright for all images entered. You will retain copyright of your entries at all times and always be credited alongside your picture USAGE RIGHTS: By entering your images into the competition, you grant permission to OPAL South West and OPAL Partners for a non-exclusive license to reproduce the images for the following purposes
Display of winning and highly commended entries at an exhibition held at Plymouth University and at a venue in the city centre in April/May 2012.
Printing of winning and highly commended photographs in local media including the Plymouth Herald and Western Morning News. We ask that the press credit photographers where the images are used but cannot be held responsible for errors and omissions.
Inclusion of winning and highly commended photographs on the OPAL website and Plymouth University website. Photographers will be credited alongside their work.
Your photographs will be saved by the Organisers for the period of judging but all photographs will be deleted by the end of June 2012 unless additional permission is granted by the photographer to keep the images beyond this time. Please note that entrants may be asked whether they are happy for their images to be used by OPAL Partners and Plymouth City Council to promote wildlife found in the city and at local nature reserves. It will be entirely at your discretion whether you grant this permission for non-exclusive use of your photo for these purposes.
