Plantlife photo competition 2010

Plantlife_positive_7496_RGB_low.jpg (97 KB)Have you ever fancied yourself as a budding David Bailey? Or a Lord Lichfield of the lichen world?Well, this is your chance to have your work seen by a wider audience. We’re looking for 12 photographs to represent each month in our 2011 calendar.

This year’s theme: A Place for Plants

‘A place for plants’ is the theme for the third annual Plantlife photo competition. Exquisite, wildly varied and often surprising, wild plants and fungi are the essential fabric of our countryside upon which all other wildlife depends. We’re looking for images that represent this – not just close-ups but pictures showing their place in the wider environment.

Maybe you have a photo of a single bloom against a wild backdrop, or animals interacting with our native flora?

Please bear in mind that, as the charity speaking up for wild plants, we will only shortlist photos of native wildflowers. Any images of non-native or horticultural species will be regretfully rejected.
