Entry: Paid Entry
Entry Fee: A single sum of £30.00 is required per adult entrant and allows up to 5 photographic entries. Further entries may be submitted at an additional fee of £6 per entry. The exception being for entries to the On the Phone category, the fee for which is £6 per entry only, £2 of which will be given as a donation to Action Against Hunger. To enter the Winterbotham Darby Food Film Shorts supported by Foodism category the fee will be £30 per video submitted. To enter the Food Stylist category the fee will be £30 per portfolio of 5 images submitted. Once entered, images cannot be withdrawn unless the Organisers are notified that there is a permissions issue, in which case the images will be withdrawn on request of the copyright holder / entrant but no refund will be payable. Payment is made online using Paypal. Entry to the Young (under 18) categories is free of charge. A maximum of three entries may be submitted to the Young (under 18) categories.

PRIZE DETAILS: YOU can win £5,000GBP and the title of Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year 2019. Judges include Emily Luchetti, Chair Emeritus of the James Beard Foundation and internationally-renowned food photographer David Loftus.

In addition to the £5,000GBP top prize:

You will be invited to attend the glittering VIP Awards evening at the world renowned Mall Galleries, London SW1 along with leading figures from the world of photography, retail, food/photography and national press
You will be provided with 2 nights' accommodation at the InterContinental London Park Lane in a double room with breakfast.
You will be re-imbursed up to the maximum value of £750 GBP for the cost of your return flight (economy class) to London travel to attend the Awards Evening Reception. The value of your flights costs will be re-imbursed after the Awards evening. There is no cash alternative, the prize is non-transferable and receipts must be provided.
You will have the opportunity to see your work displayed in the Mall Galleries, London SW1 in the spring of 2019 in an open-to-the-public exhibition giving your work free high profile exposure. This is intended to help publicise your creativity, and encourage and inspire others to develop their skills in food photography for the following year.

A dedicated page will be added to our website showing an in depth profile of the overall winner featuring the winning image
You will receive a dedicated press release promoting your image to international photography and food media
Your hard work and creativity will be credited wherever the image is used and will be seen by millions of people across the globe


Category winners:
All category winners will receive a prestigious trophy.
The winner of Errazuriz Wine Photographer of the Year, a category of Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year, will win £1000GBP and an Errazuriz Don Maximiano Founder's Reserve Commemorative Magnum (150cl), signed by Eduardo Chadwick.
The winner of the Pink Lady® Apple a Day category will win £1000GBP and the winning image will be used by Pink Lady® in its UK multi media marketing campaign.
The winner of the Winterbotham Darby Food Film Shorts category will win £1,000GBP.
The winner of the Production Paradise Food off the Press category will win a special feature in the Production Paradise Spotlight Food & Drink Photography online magazine, along with a 12-image gallery of their work.
The winner of One Vision Imaging Cream of the Crop, a category of Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year will win £300GBP for use against One Vision Imaging services
The winner of the Fujifilm Award for Innovation will receive the following:
6-month relationship with Fujifilm to be taken within 12 months of the awards
Free loan of Fujifilm X-series products during the relationship
Fujifilm will support the photographer by promoting them on their Social Media channels (subject to the work being shot on Fujifilm products)
Fujifilm will support the photographer with up to 10 exhibition quality prints, to be printed by a laboratory of Fujifilm’s choice
May be commissioned to present on behalf of Fujifilm at retailer events, experience days or trade shows (subject to the work being shot on Fujifilm products)

Where a prize is offered by a Third Party, Food Photographer of the Year Ltd is not bound to deliver the exact prize that has been offered by the Third Party if unforeseen events should take place to prevent delivery, but will do its utmost to ensure that a similar prize is delivered instead. No monetary compensation will be offered.

COPYRIGHT: Copyright, reproduction and permissions
Each entry must be the original work of the entrant and the entrant must have complete copyright for this work. Previously published images may be submitted to any category however where linked to a third party, rights must have been sought and written permission received for use. Images submitted to the Food Off the Press category must have been previously published and rights must have been sought and written permission received for use and made available on request.

Entries to the Food Stylist category must be submitted with the permission of the photographer and owner of the copyright.

It is the sole responsibility of the entrant to confirm that each person depicted in the entry has granted permission to be portrayed as shown. Any costumes, props or other materials used must be rented or borrowed with the permission of the owner, and all other relevant permissions must have been obtained.

It is the sole responsibility of the entrant to ensure that images submitted do not contain threatening, false, misleading, abusive, harassing, libelous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, pornographic or profane content,

It is the sole responsibility of the entrant to ensure that images submitted do not contain any material that could constitute or encourage conduct which would be considered a criminal offence, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any law.

Entrants agree to fully indemnify Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year (Food Photographer of the Year Ltd) and its sponsors in respect of all costs owing to any person or entity arising by reason of your breaching any of the foregoing.

The copyright in all images submitted to the awards will remain with the entrant who will be credited in accordance with the Terms and Conditions.

In addition, your moral rights are respected. Whenever your work is published by the Owners you will be credited. Failure to publish a credit due to error or oversight shall not be deemed a breach of this condition. Where images are used pre judging to promote the awards, images will be kept anonymous until judging is complete whereupon post credits will be given.

By entering the awards, each entrant grants to the Owners a non-exclusive, irrevocable license to reproduce, publish, and communicate to the public, by any means, exhibit their image and copies of their image in all media throughout the world in relation to the awards and the exhibition for no other purpose including but not limited to all use in the context of:

Judging the awards
Display in the exhibition
Inclusion in any portfolio book and magazine or similar
Inclusion within interactive elements associated with the awards and or exhibition (now known or hereafter created) available for viewing or download from the Owners’ website
Inclusion in promotional, press and marketing materials associated with the awards and or the exhibition
Inclusion in merchandising associated with the awards and or the exhibition
In some of the above circumstances, commercial opportunities may exist for winning photographers to benefit from the use of their image: where a commercial benefit is likely to arise, permission will be sought in advance and Terms and Conditions will be agreed.

Winning images will be used by the Organisers for a period of 14 months from the announcement of the winners and thereafter the Organisers may keep the winning images within an archive (electronic or otherwise) for a period of 3 years from announcement of the winners, after which permission will be sought from the photographers should their images be used in connection with the awards and or exhibition.
