Photographic competition 2012 – Life on the Moors
We are now inviting entries for our popular annual photographic competition open to everyone who likes taking photographs. We have classes for adults and for children under the age of 16 – all the details are the same whatever age you are. The idea is to encourage photography of northernDevon life and scenery.
Classes should be interpreted as follows:
Towns &Villages Views, buildings, street scenes, fetes etc.
The Coast & the Sea The sea, cliffs, beaches, boats etc.
Characters People in their environment, sport, events etc. No studio portraits
Landscape Landscapes, may include buildings, bridges, windfarms
Wildlife Includes wild animals, plants, birds, but not pets
Anything Goes! Try something different – digital, montage, special effects, etc.
Contest Prize & TERMS
A medal will be awarded to the photographer whose photograph is judged to be the best in each class.
Certificates will be awarded for other prizes, including 2nd, 3rd, Highly Commended and Commended. There is a perpetual trophy for the overall winner, which remains the property of the Museum. An engraved tankard will be presented to the winning photographer. A perpetual trophy will also be awarded for the best photographer aged under 16.
