Photo5 photography competition
Open a Little Box of Inspiration. Photo5 is a unique photography competition where five everyday items in a simple brown box inspire a stunning variety of imaginative images. Because when it comes to creative photography, no one sees it like you.
The official Photo5 box contains five carefully crafted briefs. Each offers a challenge designed to inspire amazing photography. You need to enter the People’s Brief in order to receive one of the limited boxes. Don’t forget that if you enter all 5 briefs, you’ll automatically be entered into the Portfolio Competition, where we’ll be awarding an additional prize to the photographer with the best set of 5 photos. The remaining 4 briefs will be launched on 2 September.
The People’s Brief is Live.And we’re pleased to announce that it’s ‘Reflections’. From bedroom mirrors to gleaming metals, shallow ponds to deep ponders, reflections take many forms. What type of reflection are you inspired to capture? Where will you see it that no one else will? This brief was created by our Canon community. It’s our Open Brief for 2013, so anyone can take part. Submit an image for your chance to receive a Photo5 box (but hurry, because supplies are limited).

Each Eligible Participant warrants to the Promoter that any entry submitted (including photograph, vote or response) (“Entry”) is their original work that does not infringe the rights of any third party, including but not limited to copyright, trademarks, trade secrets, privacy, publicity, personal, confidential or proprietary rights;
The copyright of all images submitted in the Photo5 competition and which are displayed in the Gallery will remain the property of the photographer. USAGE RIGHTS: Each Eligible Participant grants the Promoter a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence without charge to use, reproduce, publish and display any or all of their Entry or Entries in any of the Promoter’s media or distribution methods (whether now known or later developed), including publication on the Promoter’s website or any internet applications for five years after the end of the associated Program, for any purposes connected with conducting or promoting this Program or the World of EOS.
Each Eligible Participant grants the Promoter the right to request at any time during or reasonably after the associated Program, a non-exclusive licence to use any of their Entries in any media, including publication on the Promoter’s website for five years after the end of the relevant Program for the purposes of promoting its products, services or other promotions, without restriction on use, attribution or liability. These promotions include, but are not limited to, other Canon products and promotions. The Promoter will pay each Eligible Entrant AUD$100 or NZ$100 (as applicable) for each Entry so used, in return for this licence.
