In many countries and cultures, the end of the year is associated with celebrations, meditation, visits with loved ones, incredible culinary art, traditions and customs, visiting sacred buildings, winter sports, and attending concert and theater performances. The lands that are covered with snow enjoy the atmosphere of white holidays, flavored with spiced wine and a flickering fireplace. Some countries also celebrate it in the southern hemisphere, where the hot summer peaks and long days offer plenty of time to enjoy the company of loved ones. Other countries and cultures also celebrate the atmosphere of the new year from January or February.
