So it’s Friday, the weekend is upon us, cameras are firing up and getting ready to shoot our creative expressions. Before you rush out, let us share some exciting news in the form of an ongoing photography competition here on PhotoComment called Photo Friday.

Under our gallery section we have a User Submitted gallery into which you can upload your pictures. Each Friday we will pick our favourite image from there as our Photo Friday Image. At the end of the year a winner will be picked from all the Photo Friday Images as the prize winner.

From time to time we may issue a call for a particular theme or genre of images for that week or month. At those times you will still be able to upload any other images however the Photo Friday images will be chosen on that theme during that period.

Now for the rest of October we are going to give you freedom to upload your favourite images, so no themes or assignment. Remember that images will only go live in the gallery as approved by the editorial team. Keep them family friendly – no nudity – and remember that standard PhotoComment Competition Rules will apply.
