NSW PARLIAMENTARY PLEIN AIR PHOTOGRAPHIC PRIZE  logo.jpg (140 KB)Photographers are invited to participate in the Inaugural NSW Parliamentary Plein Air Photographic Prize – set up to complement the three year old NSW Parliamentary Plein Air Painting Prize. The topic of the competition is New South Wales landscape in focus. The annual acquisition of these photographic works will form the basis of a Collection of Plein Air photographs to be owned by NSW Parliament for the people of NSW.

PRIZE DETAILS: The Parliamentary Plein Air Photographic Prize is an acquisitive competition offering awards of $10,000, $5,000, $3,000 and the special Clerk of the House Prize of $2,000 (non-acquisitive). ELIGIBILITY: Australian Not eligible to enter? - Find contest where you are.

COPYRIGHT: Photographers retain copyright in their photographs. However submission of an entry gives to the New South Wales Parliament and the organising committee permission without any fee to exhibit the finalists’ works at the New South Wales Parliament and at any other venue within New South Wales to which the exhibition is transferred during the 12 months after the closing date for entries. Submission of an entry also gives the New South Wales Parliament and the organising committee a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable permission for three years to reproduce finalists’ photographs without fee and without payment to any featured person for the purposes of marketing and promoting the competition, the exhibition, and any future New South Wales Parliamentary Photographic Prize or similar competition. This permission extends to publication and reproduction for the above purposes in the media, on catalogues, posters, postcards, publications, on the internet (including on the competition website and the Parliamentary website), in any New South Wales Parliamentary publication, and in any other publications (printed or digital) including newspapers, magazines and journals. Where possible, photographers will receive credits with each use.
