This year, 19th November is Social Enterprise Day: a national day to celebrate and promote social enterprise. We are delighted to launch the second annual Social Enterprise Day photography competition for England, and this year, we want to show how social enterprise is more than just business as usual.

We are in search of the best photograph that shows how social enterprise is using business to make positive change. Maybe you work for a social enterprise or maybe you or someone you know has received exceptional service or goods from one – take a photo and show us what makes social enterprise great.

Here’s what you do:

1. GET STARTED

Take a photo that you think shows how social enterprise is more than ‘business as usual.’ You’ll be expected to caption your photo, so use that space to tell the story behind the image – the photo will be judged on how it looks visually, but also on the story it tells (so make sure you tell us what’s going on in the picture and identify any people shown).

2. SUBMIT YOUR ENTRY

Images must be hi-res (2MB or more). The winner will then go on to compete for the national prize for England, judged by the Social Enterprise Ambassadors.

Rules and regulations

The competition will be launched on 19 August and the deadline for all entries is 19 October. Winners will be announced 19 November.
Photos must be digital and Hi-Res – at least 2mb.
No responsibility is accepted for ineligible entries or entries made fraudulently.
Entries are limited to three photographs per submission.
Prizes cannot be exchanged for a cash alternative.
