My View of London Photo Contest
OPEN YOUR EYES TO PICTURESQUE LONDON Fight for Sight, the UK’s leading eye research charity, and Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts have teamed up to launch the second annual My View of London photography competition.
The competition invites Londoners and visitors to the capital to capture their favourite view of the city for a chance to win a host of valuable prizes, including: a two-night hotel stay at the stylish Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London hotel; spa treatments at the luxurious new Mandara Spa; and dinner for two at the award-winning Chino Latino restaurant.
The competition has gained the support of a number of well-known individuals from actors, socialites and sportspeople. Tamara Beckwith, Phyllida Law, David Haye, Jenny Éclair and Rachel Johnson among many more, have all donated pictures of their favourite views of the spectacular capital in order to inspire entrants.
Entries can be submitted under the four competition categories:
Colour – Let the colour of the city shine through in this category. Capture the capital’s brightest, boldest or most brilliant hues
Love – Show us what you love about London, whether it’s your family and friends, your favourite scene or the little known gem that only you’ve discovered
A New Perspective – From Big Ben to St Paul’s Cathedral, the London Eye to the Houses of Parliament, use your creativity and put a new angle on these much loved icons
Room with a View – Park Plaza’s six London hotels offer contemporary architecture, design and some of the city’s most picture-perfect views ready for your artistic eye
In the UK, an estimated 100 people begin to lose their sight every day. By encouraging people to take a moment to appreciate the spectacular views London has to offer, Fight for Sight is hoping the photo competition will bring home the importance of sight.
“Living with sight loss is a reality for too many people,” says Annu Mayor, Fight for Sight Director of Communications. “The My View of London photography competition provides an excellent opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of research for preventing and treating blindness and eye disease.”
Contest Prize & TERMS

COPYRIGHT: Entrants will retain copyright for their photos. Entrants warrant that they own the copyright for photographs submitted and that photographs are their original work. USAGE RIGHTS: By submitting a photo to the competition entrants are granting a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual licence for their entries to be edited, published, reproduced and used by Fight for Sight and Park Plaza London hotels for any purpose, free of charge.
They are also agreeing to their name, geographic location, photo and photo description being published in the My View of London online gallery and, if shortlisted, to be exhibited as part of the My View of London photo exhibition at the Park Plaza Victoria London. All prints of photos so exhibited will remain the property of Fight for Sight and Park Plaza London hotels.
