MontPhoto Contest 2023
For the 27th time in a row we’d like to welcome you to join the MontPhoto Contest 2023 nature competition organised by the MontPhoto Association.
We invite professional and non-professional photographers, of all ages, from all over the world, to join our contest again this year.
We seek innovative and inspiring images picturing original stories, unknown places, new perspectives, surprising behaviours or new interpretations of what is already known to us. We look for a glimpse that documents the diversity, the beauty, the mystery and the fragility of life on our planet.
Contest Prize & TERMS
PRIZE DETAILS:
Join MontPhoto nature contest, a worldwide nature photo competition. Besides the prestigious title “Nature Photographer MontPhoto 2023” Total prize money will amount to €25,000.
In each category the jury will determine a winner, a runner-up and 5 highly commended. The winners of a category will receive €500 in prize money (in cash). The runner-ups will win prizes worth €300 (in cash). The highly commended photographers receive the honour and encouragement. All the winner of the youth category will receive a prize worth €150 (in products).
The winner of a Portfolio category will receive €1000 in prize money (in cash).
In addition, from the 10 category winners the jury will choose one overall winner who will receive a prize to the value of €2000 (in cash).
All awarded images will be shown in the exhibition at the MontPhoto Fest and in a traveling exhibition.
Besides all these prizes, there is the MontPhoto Grant and the especial awards.
Total prize money will amount to €25,000, of which many large cash prizes, and many attractive photographic articles. We will give a continuous update on the prizes, so that there will be an upgrade for the winners next to the prizes already mentioned.
The award ceremony will take place during the MontPhoto Fest 2023 on Friday 7th October 2023 in the Theater in Lloret de Mar (Costa Brava), Catalonia (Spain). Not eligible to enter? - Find contest where you are.

Pictures where a recognizable or identifiable person appears (categories in which the presence of people is admitted), must include a consent form signed by that person and a Copyright Release Form attached to it. MontPhoto shall not be liable for possible claims against the authors, which may be a reason to disqualify the photograph. USAGE RIGHTS: MontPhoto Contest 2023, powered by Association MontPhoto in Spain.
Awarded and runner-up works can be reproduced in books, catalogues, posters or any other printed or digital platform, as well as distributing it to press and/or magazines in order to promote MontPhoto.
MontPhoto may also used them for training and educational projects organized by the entity itself.
The name of the author will always be mentioned and the author will grant the reproduction rights to the organization of the contest for this purpose. This grant is non-exclusive but it is extended to any future editions. The use of these pictures cannot be used with lucrative purposes.
