Marine Wildlife and Seascape PHOTO CONTEST

Ocean Conservancy presents the 2014 Marine Wildlife and Seascape PHOTO CONTEST. Subject matter must consist of marine wildlife or marine habitats, and must be photographed in a natural setting. Shots of aquariums, pools or other captive locations will not be accepted. Photographs of divers touching or stressing marine wildlife will not be accepted.

Arctic: Photos of land, water, and the animals who call the Arctic home.
Gulf of Mexico: Photos of land, water, and the animals who call the Gulf of Mexico home.
Human Impact: Photos of fishermen, shipping, marine debris, and all the ways that humans can interact with the ocean. This category may feature people in an editorial style.
Fish: Photos of Red Snapper, Tuna, and other fish in their natural environment.
Our Ocean: Photos that do not fit the specifications of the above categories can be entered into this general ocean photo category.


Contest Prize & TERMS

PRIZE DETAILS: Every photo entered has a chance to be featured in the Ocean Wildlife 2016 Calendar.

Grand Prize Winner and People's Choice Winner will receive a one-year subscription to a diving magazine, a one-year membership to Ocean Conservancy, an Ocean Conservancy t-shirt, a swag gift bag, participation in a conference call with one of our judges, and a piece of signed, framed photography from one of our judges.

COPYRIGHT: Ownership and copyright of ALL ENTRIES remain with the photographer USAGE RIGHTS: Participation in the contest grants Ocean Conservancy unlimited and non-exclusive use for Ocean Conservancy publications, website, products, and other uses to promote Ocean Conservancy's work.

By entering the Contest, entrants agree to grant to Ocean Conservancy and its legal representatives, successors, and assigns the nonexclusive right and permission to use, modify, adapt, reproduce, publish, and distribute an entry, or any portion thereof, including the photo, throughout the world, in any printed form and by any kind of mechanical or electronic or any other method or device of reproduction, publication, and distribution now known or later developed, during the full term of the copyright, and without notification or payment, in connection with the Contest. Ocean Conservancy agree to attribute authorship and copyright ownership to an entrant when they publish and distribute all or part of the entry submitted. Ocean Conservancy also agrees not to sell an entry or rights in an entry to any individual or entity
