PRIZE DETAILS: 1st Prize: A trip to Egypt covering flight and accommodation (1 week) sponsored by Soliman travel. 2nd Prize for under 25: £1,000 sponsored by Eon Media. 3rd Prize (best photograph inside Egypt): £500 sponsored by Allam Marine. 4th Prize (best photograph outside Egypt): £500 sponsored by Allam Marine. 5th Prize: best runner up: £250 sponsored by Allam Marine. The 5 Prize winners will receive also 6 months’ subscription to “Amateur Photographer magazine” and a year’s subscription to the British Egyptian Society. Each of the 18 finalists will receive a certificate. Photographs by the finalists will be exhibited for two weeks at the British Museum. There will be a rolling slide show on a plasma screen of the top 50 photographs. The top 18 photographs will be touring the country in two further exhibitions; at Edinburgh University before the end of 2009 and at Hull University in the New Year.
