Thames21 are excited to announce the launch of our 4th annual photography competition. We are inviting budding photographers to enter images of Londons Waterways for the chance to win great prizes and to have your photograph seen by thousands exhibited at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich. The theme is open to individual interpretation but entries must feature or be taken around a London Waterway. A waterway is a river or a canal. Photographs entered must be taken within Greater London

This year the competition will be judged by world renowned landscape photographer Charlie Waite.

All photographs will be judged on the following criteria:
• Composition
• Technical ability
• Originality

The photographs will be judged through the following process:

Stage One
A judging panel comprised of Thames21 staff will review all entries and select a shortlist of 20 photographs, based on the above criteria.

Stage Two
Landscape photographer Charlie Waite will chose the final winners.

Thames21 are holding a selection of events, which offer great opportunities to take photographs that can be entered into the competition.

Thames21 is the voice for London’s waterways, working with communities to improve rivers and canals for people and wildlife. We mobilise over 12000 volunteers every year to clean and green the capital’s 400 mile network of waterways.

Thames21 aims to transform neglected and littered waterways into areas that everyone can use and enjoy with innovative and tailored community approaches.
