Lens Culture International Exposure Awards 2011
Lens Culture, one of the most popular and influential online magazines about contemporary photography today, is hosting another edition of the Lens Culture International Awards! The International Exposure Awards discover, reward, and promote talented, new, emerging and established photographers and multimedia creators from around the world.
Lens Culture is looking for exciting work from every continent, and from diverse points of view: documentary, fine art, nature, photojournalism, activism, street photography, sports, fashion, poetic, personal, abstract and human. Entries will be accepted from three separate categories, one (multimedia) from which is introduced for the first time this year.
Presentations that combine photography, video, graphics and sound are becoming prominent headline features in the world of social networking, activism, fine art, and online news. Multimedia from all genres and categories will be considered, including, but not limited to: current events / photojournalism / social issues / activism / fine art / conceptual / cinematic / fiction / storytelling / nature / other.
Submit 10 to 15 photographic images that work well together as a group — thematically, aesthetically, as a story, or simply as a range of your photographic talent.
Single Image Awards
A great photo can stand on its own, demonstrating a remarkable level of visual perception, sensitivity, and creativity. Photographs of all genres and all categories are welcome.
Contest Prize & TERMS
Portfolio Awards: Grand Prize: $1500, 2nd Prize: $500, 3rd Prize: $250
Single Image Awards: Grand Prize: $1000, 2nd Prize: $250, 3rd Prize: $100 ELIGIBILITY: 18+ open to professional and amateur photographers and multimedia creators. Not eligible to enter? - Find contest where you are.
COPYRIGHT: Lens Culture recognizes you retain full ownership of the copyright in each photograph and multimedia. Any photograph and/or multimedia used by Lens Culture shall carry a credit line. Any failure to provide such credit line shall not be deemed to be a breach, as long as Lens Culture uses its reasonable endeavors to rectify such failure within a reasonable period from the date of notice of such failure.
The photographs and/or multimedia must not infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, contract rights, or any other intellectual property rights of any third person or entity, or violate any person’s rights of privacy or publicity, and your photographs and/or multimedia does not include: i.)trademarks owned by third parties; ii.)copyrighted materials owned by third parties; iii.)names, likenesses or other characteristics identifying celebrities or other public figures, living or dead; iv.)entries in which you have purchased or secured the rights to use stock images. USAGE RIGHTS: All winners, including Honorable Mention winners, understand that the photograph(s) and/or multimedia submitted to the competition may be used by Lens Culture, to conduct and promote the Lens Culture International Exposure Awards competition. You hereby grant Lens Culture with a right to use the photographs and/or multimedia in the framework of such promotional activities.
You agree to participate in related publicity and to the use of your name and winning photographs and/or multimedia for the purposes of advertising, promotion and publicity for Lens Culture and the International Exposure Awards without additional compensation.
