Left to our own devices Photo Contest
Left To Our Own Devices is a national photography competition, organised by the KT-EQUAL research consortium in the UK, in partnership with AgeUK. Our theme is older people’s experiences with technology. We want to collect and showcase the best and most interesting images on this subject, and we’re particularly interested in images that challenge stereotypes, surprise or entertain us.
We welcome good quality images, but technical proficiency is not our top judging criterion. We don’t mind how you took the image – we’re as interested in what you think it says about older people’s experiences with technology, whether good or bad.
The competition is open to everyone, and you can enter your images using our website. You can enter just one photo, or up to one in each of our four broad categories:
Gadgets and gizmos
Out and about
In the home
Open
We don’t mean these categories to be restrictive. As long as your image fits within the broad theme of ‘older people’s experiences with technology’, we would welcome it in any category. If you can’t decide where your image fits, you can enter it in the Open category.

One image in each category will also receive a cash prize of £250 ELIGIBILITY: UK Not eligible to enter? - Find contest where you are.
