Lakes Guide Photographic Competition
We’re looking for digital photos which capture the essence of the Lake District and the people living there: not necessarily the obvious beauty spots or tourist attractions, though these are very welcome, but images which capture the daily life of the Lakes in all its flavour and variety.
Try and go beyond the obvious, and come up with images which add an unusual twist to our view of life in the Lakes. For example, shots of the farmers at work, or the routine of life beyond the tourist hotspots.
Closing date is June 30 2011 and winners will be announced by July 7 2011. OK, that’s about it, but send in your photos as soon as possible! We want to enjoy more excellent photos of the quality we’ve seen in previous years!
The judges will award the prizes to the photos which best sum up, in their opinion, the essence of the English Lakes.

USAGE RIGHTS: In consideration of The Lake District Guide agreeing to accept entries to the competition, you agree that The Lake District Guide may make any and all entries available on the website. In addition the photos you submit may be selected by us for commercial use, on other websites not owned by RPB Internet Ltd, or in any other media, whether now known or invented in the future, which may include other internet sites, mobile, television and/or radio and that entries may be made available with advertising and/or sponsorship. In such cases of commercial use, we will discuss a royalty agreement with you and if no such agreement can be agreed upon, the photos will not be used by us in these commercial contexts.
