Jamestown Audubon Society Photography Contest
“Animals! Animals! Animals!” is the theme for the contest, and prizes will be awarded in three categories and three divisions. Categories are: Educational (e.g., zoos, aquariums, nature centers), Agricultural (cows, horses, goats, chickens, pigs, and any other animals you find on the farm),
and Wild (any wild animal in its natural habitat – and don’t forget: insects and worms are animals, too!). Divisions are: Beginners (ages 8-12), Youth (ages 13-18 or still in high school) and Adult (post-high school).
To select the People’s Choice Award, visitors to Art in the Woods art show and sale at the Audubon Center and Sanctuary in Jamestown, New York, will vote on their favorites among the finalists that will be on exhibit throughout the July 16-17, 2011 weekend.
Each photographer may submit up to five photos.
Contest Prize & TERMS
Finalists and Winners will be on display at the Audubon Center & Sanctuary July 16-17, 2011 for the Art in the Woods art show and sale.
Finalists and Winners will receive a Certificate of Recognition suitable for framing.
Adult Winners and Best in Show each receive a $50 gift certificate for photo finishing from our sponsor, Main Street Photo.
Winners in the Beginner and Youth divisions each receive a $25 gift certificate for photo finishing from our sponsor, Main Street Photo.
All winners receive a free Friends of the Nature Center Family Membership. Winners will be featured in a newspaper story. ELIGIBILITY: USA / Age 8 and over Not eligible to enter? - Find contest where you are.
COPYRIGHT: You will retain copyright of your image. USAGE RIGHTS: Your submission gives Audubon permission to use your photo on the website and in printed materials to promote the Center and the Center’s activities. Audubon will only profit from the sale of your photos if you donate them. Your name will always appear with the photo when it is used for any purpose.
