It’s Better Outdoors Photo Competition

itsbetteroutdoorsThe ‘It’s Better Outdoors’ Photography Competition is your opportunity to have images profiled at a professional level and receive expert guidance from our panel of guest judges. It is free to enter and open to both local and international images.

We believe that as the competition develops it will hold the potential to unearth and provide a launch pad for Australia’s next leading outdoors photographers.

The Beauty of Nature:
Capture the moments when a perfect balance and harmony takes place in the outdoors…

Great Things Happen Outdoors:
The unexpected, the memorable – it’s your call. Let your imagination expand & share your “great” moments

People at Play:
Select your best images of people sharing the struggles and joys as they experience the diversity of the outdoors.

The competition will culminate with an AV presentation and winners announcement at the annual Queensland Outdoor Recreation Awards Dinner on Friday October 30th at Victoria Park Function Venue.

Contest Prize & TERMS

PRIZE DETAILS: This years overall competition winner will walk away with the latest Digital SLR & lens from Nikon valued at over $1000. Successful applicants within each category will also take home their share in over $2000 worth of prizes from our Presenting Partners ELIGIBILITY: Open to all - School Category, Open Category Not eligible to enter? - Find contest where you are.

COPYRIGHT: By submitting an entry, Outdoors Queensland reserves the right to publish the entry on the Outdoors Queensland website and is permitted to resize the photograph as needed for best presentation on the site. • Images used on the competition website will be low-resolution only and will be water marked with a copyright symbol and the photographer's name. • Copyright ownership remains with the creator of the photographs. • Photographers whose work receives an award agree to allow their images to be used for Outdoors Queensland marketing purposes for three calendar years from the day the competition closes. • Images that do not receive an award will only be used online in association with the competition (i.e. – they will not be reproduced in any hardcopy publications) • The name of the photographer will be printed clearly with their image or mentioned, each time the image is displayed. • Images will not be passed-on, on-sold or sub-licensed to any third party. Any third party usage enquiries will be passed on to the photographer
