IREX Make a Better World Photo Contest
Enter the IREX Make a Better World Photo Contest to win cash prizes totaling over $1,000. This year we are seeking images that best reflect the lives and locations of our work. Specifically, our qualified panel of judges will be looking for photos that are not only technically sound and creative, but clearly fit into one of the following categories:
1. Technology, Information & Participation – Photos should explore how technology helps citizens get the information, news and education they need to more fully participate in their own communities.
2. Improving Communities – Photos should explore how citizens mobilize to address important issues related to conflict, the environment, gender, etc.
3. Education & Employment – Photos should explore how education can prepare youth, women and others to participate in the workforce and improve the economic vitality of developing countries.
Judging: The panel of experts selected by Organizer will collectively select winners in the Grand Prize and Best of Category categories over two (2) rounds of evaluation. Qualified photos are defined as those completely complying with the Official Rules. The judges will select the winners based on the following judging criteria: (1) Relevance to theme 50%; (2) Photographic quality 25%; (3) Creativity 25%

All winners and their photo entries will be featured on IREX’s website, social media, and email newsletter. ELIGIBILITY: International / 18+ Not eligible to enter? - Find contest where you are.
COPYRIGHT: All entrants must hold exclusive rights to the photographs they submit and by entering, claim ownership. Entrant will retain copyright to all photographs submitted. USAGE RIGHTS: By entering the Contest, all entrants grant IREX a royalty-free, irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, distribute, display and create derivative works of the entries (with or without a name credit), in whole or in part, for any educational, promotional, publicity, archival, exhibition or other non-commercial purpose, in connection with the Contest and promotion of the Contest or otherwise, in any media now or hereafter known, including, but not limited to: Display at a potential exhibition of winners; print publication of reports and brochures featuring select entries in the Contest. The Organizer will not be required to pay any additional consideration or seek any additional approval in connection with authorized uses. Entrants consent to the Organizer doing or omitting to do any act that would otherwise infringe the entrant’s “moral rights” in their entries.
