PRIZE DETAILS: All winning photos will be exhibited at the International Polar Year conference, From Knowledge to Action, from 22-27 April, 2012 in Montréal’s Palais des Congrès.

Researchers, explorers and international representatives from more than 60 countries are expected to attend this event to discuss how to address issues of climate change in the North and South Poles going forward.

Winning images from Cold Snap will become part of the discussions.

In addition, the following prizes will be awarded:

Category winner (4) A cash prize of $500

First runner up (4) A cash prize of $250
