Dumdum Foto Unit (DDFU), one of the pioneers in promoting photography in India, started its journey on the 9th June, 1973. Since then for five decades DDFU has been contributing substantially to the growth of photography through its multifarious activities, particularly in the field of pictorial photography throughout the country.

Dumdum Foto Unit is absolutely a non-profit organization.

Since its inception the journey has been for a glorious half a century. We have entered into the 50th year i.e., Golden Jubilee. To commemorate the year, we have planned a year long programme commencing from 9th June, 2022.

Apart from many events, DDFU is going to organize INTERNATIONAL PHOTOMARATHON’23.

DDFU INTERNATIONAL PHOTOMARATHON’23 combines photography and the basic elements of a marathon. It is a photography competition that requires participants to shoot 5 photographs related to the given topic or theme mentioned below and submit on the same day without retouching it. Participants will get only 24 hours to shoot and submit. Participants need to check on camera JPEG file setting and set it in Medium with 3:2 ratio and keep the quality as “Fine”.
