Our Images of the Caledonian Forest Photo Contest has 2 categories in which the public can enter photos: Forest Landscapes and Nature. Prizes include a free Conservation Week in the Scottish Highlands, Paramo outdoor gear, publication in our 2015 calendar and Trees for Life merchandise. Entries will be judged by BBC cameraman Gordon Buchanan.

Forest Landscapes: Trees for Life’s vision is to restore the Caledonian Forest to 1,000 square miles of the Scottish Highlands. Despite once covering much of the Highlands it has now been massively depleted and only fragments remain. We are looking for photos that support our vision, so the category includes photos that show the beauty of a healthy, flourishing forest, as well as more poignant ones that demonstrate the need for forest restoration, such as the solitary old Scots pine. Please include details of when and where the photo was taken.

Nature: The Caledonian Forest supports a wealth of biodiversity, including many species that are found nowhere else in the UK. Entries can be of any form of plant or animal life that inhabits the Caledonian Forest, whether common or rare. Please include details of when and where the photo was taken and, if you know it, the name of the species.
