Home, my Place in the World photo contest
Today’s concept of ‘home’ or ‘homeland’ takes on a whole new meaning. Whilst in the past homeland was represented by one’s place of birth, now it is the place where one feels most at home. From this perspective, ‘political’ barriers between states lose their meaning with everyone becoming citizen of the world.
Submissions for this edition will pay tribute to the concepts of homeland, identity, tribalism and social integration, positive and negative.
Each applicant will need to submit a photographic essay, social reportage, consisting of three themed digital images.
Images may be digitally enhanced for colour/contrast/brightness, but cannot be manipulated.
Entrants will be assessed by:
Anne Williams, Director for Photography, London College of Communication
Francesca Marocchino, Curator, Guimet Museum, Paris
Jennifer Faure Francis, Director of Communications, Philadelphia Museum of Art
Neil Couzens, Director, Wandsworth Museum
Michael Pritchard, Director General, The Royal Photographic Society,
Keith Barnes, Director, Oxford School of Photography
Roberta Cremoncini, Director, the Estorick Collection of Modern Italian Art
