So what is Hipstamatic? It is an app on your phone that allows you take photographs using a variety of different films, lenses and flashes. The resulting images are the digital equivalent of the Diana, Holga, Lomography, etc. cameras. For this competition, the original image capture must be done using the Hipstamatic. It is up to you to take it from there in any direction you choose……to achieve the final image. Creativity is encouraged.

Mario Estrada will be the juror for Hipstamatic.  Mario studied at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point where he double majored in Graphic Design/Spanish and minored in Photography/Art History.  He worked for years as Designer and Art Director before joining the Hipstatamic team serving as VP of Special Projects.

Forty five to fifty images will be selected from the Hipstamatic Photo Contest for exhibition at A Smith Gallery from February 14 to March 30, 2014. Receptions will be held on February 22, 2014 and March 29, 2014 each from 4 to 7pm. A Blurb full color catalogue of the exhibit with all the accepted entries will be available for purchase
