Free Speech Everyday Photo Contest

Free Speech Everyday Photo Contest Show us how you use your everyday right to free speech! Upload your photo to the Free Speech Everyday Photo Contest for a chance your photo skills will be seen by our panel of award- winning photojournalists and to win cash and more! Our judges include James K. Colton, Annie Griffiths, Cathaleen Curtiss, William Snyder, John Tlumacki, John H. White, Michael Williamson, and Donald R. Winslow. Multiple entries are permitted, but only one photo can be entered per day. This contest is sponsored by Free Speech Week (FSW) and the National Press Photographers Association (NPPA.).

Published continuously for 68 years and now issued 10-times annually (including the year-end “Best of Photojournalism” edition), News Photographer magazine is the official publication of the National Press Photographers Association. The columns and articles that appear in the magazine are often cited as “the authority” on topics ranging from law and ethics to technology.

Contest Prize & TERMS

PRIZE DETAILS: Grand prize winner will receive $500.00 plus a leather camera bag from Jill-E Designs (approx. value - $150.00)
Two Runners-Up winners will receive $100.00 each.

COPYRIGHT: You declare that you are the holder of the copyright; and/or authorized by the holder of the copyright to submit photographs and/or digital images to Free Speech Everyday Photo Contest. USAGE RIGHTS: You grant permission to Free Speech Week (FSW) and/or the National Press Photographers Association (NPPA) to use your submissions at their sole discretion in any manner, form and/or medium, including but not limited to:
Free Speech Week and/or the NPPA Websites;
for the promotion and exhibition of Free Speech Week and its activities;
to exhibit, publish and/or promote the contest itself;
and/or for educational, research, and historical record purposes concerning Free Speech Week.
Such use shall be in any and all other settings, venues and uses that they (FSW/NPPA) may designate, without any remuneration. This usage includes, but is not limited to: slides/tapes, television film/tapes, videodisc, DVDs, CDs, Internet web sites, and any other type of physical, mechanical, electronic, or digital format or dissemination system. Winning photographs and other images selected for historical significance become part of the permanent FSW/NPPA archive.
