Botanical art has a long history as subject matter for photographers. Using photography to preserve the ephemeral qualities of plant life can allows viewers to wonder at the natural world. Beyond the garden, florals have been used as props, rendered in patterns in décor and apparel, and photographed in various states of decay. For this online exhibition, Don’t Take Pictures seeks photographs that go beyond the traditional portrayal of florals.
The exhibition will be published online from August 23 — November 21.
