Flickr Calendar 2014 Photo Contest
The theme of the Flickr Calendar 2014 Photo Contest is “In the Streets, The United Kingdom in detail”, and it aims to capture the beautiful, inspiring sights and quirks of local cities and towns of Flickr users throughout the UK captured in 2013. Whether it is the beautiful architecture of a specific building, the everyday beauty of a market stall, a bicycle on a country lane, or the hustle and bustle of your neighbourhood, this calendar is about you exploring the world around you, and the photographs in this group should reflect the beautiful details found in your hometown. The public will vote on the best photographs from each participating country to create a shortlist of 10, which will then be put before a panel of judges who will select the top 3 winning photographs from each country. The panel of judges will consist of photography experts and members of the Flickr team. The voting stage site will open on 21st October
Contest Prize & TERMS
Minimum quality: 300 d.p.i. and submitted in either .jpg. .png or .tiff . UK entries must also be tagged with the tag 'UK' Not eligible to enter? - Find contest where you are.
COPYRIGHT: By adding your photo to the Group, you represent and warrant to Yahoo UK and Flickr that your photo is an original work taken by you, free from any third party rights, in particular that under no circumstances does it constitute, whether entirely or in parts, any infringement upon the intellectual property rights or any other rights of third parties, and that any persons depicted in your photo have consented to the distribution and display of the photo with no remuneration of any kind being payable to them. USAGE RIGHTS: By adding your photo to the Group, you provide Yahoo and Flickr with a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license (but not the obligation) to use, copy, modify, translate and/or adapt, distribute, publicly perform, publicly display by any means and in any media, your photo solely in connection with the inclusion of your photo.
Your photograph in the Group will be displayed on Yahoo owned media, online properties and social media outposts, with the title you give your photograph and your Flickr screen name.
