Starting in the frontier town of Maun the safari commences with a short flight into the heart of the Okavango Delta. The Delta is fed by vast volumes of water from the highlands of Angola and the wildlife thrives in the rich environment. Our luxury mobile camping safari keeps you close to the wildlife to maximise your photographic opportunities. We spend three nights in each of three distinct ecologies to give ourselves every chance to see the full range of wildlife in Botswana. Our well equipped safari vehicle will take you on game drives every day. At the end of the day you relive the experience over a delicious dinner and later with drinks around the campfire before retiring to your comfortable bed and tent.

Headed by Principal Instructor Nick Rains, the Akademie’s goal is to increase the fun and enjoyment of photography, expand photographic knowledge and bring the total Leica experience to a new generation of photographers. Whether you are a user of another camera system, an experienced Leica photographer or you are just starting out, there is no better way to improve your photography than with the Leica Akademie. The Akademie offers a wide range of workshops and photographic trips throughout the year.

Full day events concentrating on specific aspects of photography such as printing, post-production, fashion shooting, portraiture, travel etc. In Focus events are usually seminar-style, with refreshments and lunch included, although some, such as Fashion, will necessarily involve some hands on shooting with either your own camera or a demo Leica camera. All camera brands are welcome for you to bring along to this event, and you may enjoy the opportunity to try out one of the latest Leica cameras.
