EDITED ARCHITECTURES Photo Contest
Homemade Dessert invites you to think critically about a space that has been re-purposed, the architecture or environment transformed from its original function to accommodate a new set of programmes or uses.
Even the most successful of spaces can be subject to change over time, in relation to advancements in technologies, or evolving political, social and economic patterns. Physical transformations might be enacted as a result of rezoning strategies, growing populations of users, ageing structural systems, the influence of neighbouring elements, or, as we have seen become a more powerful agent of transformation in recent years, the effects of changing climatic conditions.
The space can be of any scale. Submissions might range in focus from the idiosyncratic (and perhaps inexplicable) alterations to a space by an individual, to the mass overhaul of urban centres or infrastructural systems.
Submitted photographs’ composition must present the narrative without additional explanations necessary.

Contest Prize & TERMS

COPYRIGHT: The ownership of copyright in the work of all submissions rests with the author and shall be governed by Hong Kong Copyright law. USAGE RIGHTS: By entering the competition, the Entrant acknowledges and accepts that all aspects of any submission, including but not limited to narratives, descriptions, details, images, illustrations, and animations may be used by Homemade Dessert for publicity purposes.
The Entrant, in submitting an entry to the Competition, provides Homemade Dessert with a limited, non-exclusive, sub-licensable, worldwide, royalty-free license (but not the obligation), to use, copy, modify, translate and/or adapt, distribute, publicly display by any means and in any media and create derivative works of, and copy, distribute and publicly display such derivative works of the entry solely in connection with the inclusion of the entry in activities related to, and the promotion of, the Competition, without any further notice or remuneration to the Entrant.
The rights shall be applied to all existing or future media, and in particular all physical, optical, magnetic, analogical, digital, and electronic media, including media such as hardcopies, CD-ROMs, DVD-ROMs, hard disks, computers and servers, the Internet, all private or public telecommunication networks, by cable, satellite, radio networks, etc.
By submitting the entry to the Competition the Entrant also give Homemade Dessert a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty free, irrevocable license in perpetuity to display and archive the entry on the Website and on Homemade Dessert’s Facebook, Twitter, or other social networking and media pages in relation to the Competition.
Any credits will be associated with the name the Entrant supplies to the Competition.
