Earth Through a Lens
Earth Through a Lens (ETAL), a tax-exempt non-profit organization based in Palm Springs, CA, is pleased to announce its third annual juried photo competition and display focused on promoting a sustainable environment. DEADLINE EXTENDED TO 21 JANUARY 2012
Photographers living in North America are invited to submit up to 4 digital images of the natural environment and/or human impact on the environment. A professional jury will select 30-50 images for public display from April 1- June 30, 2012. Judging is conducted anonymously. The finalists will be invited to submit a print of their photograph(s) for the display at a public facility in Rancho Mirage, CA that receives over 1,000 visitors per day.
Digital images will be accepted from photographers living in North America through the web portal www.callforentry.org from late October 2011 until January 7, 2012 (closing time January 6, 2012 at midnight MST). Entry fees of $35 for the first image and $10 for each additional image (up to 4 images in total) must be paid through the web portal using credit cards. A discount will be offered for “early birds” who submit by November 30, 2011. For those not familiar with the web portal, please allow ample time to navigate this site, register with callforentry.org, and upload images.
