Earth Photo 2020

Earth Photo 2020

A picture is worth a thousand words. Earth Photo, an international competition developed by Forestry England and the Royal Geographical Society (with the Institute of British Geographers), rewards photographs celebrating the natural world, its beauty, and its ever-growing fragility.

In 2020, Earth Photo will focus on photographs or films describing People, Place, Nature, Changing Forests and A Climate of Change. Prizes will be awarded to the winner of each of the five categories and to a short film entry.

The selected pictures will be shown in the Earth Photo exhibition at the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG), and on a national tour to Forestry England forests: Dalby Forest, Grizedale Forest and Moors Valley.

The shortlisted photographs and the winners will be selected by an expert panel of photographers, curators, geographers, environmentalists and writers, chaired by award-winning photographer Marissa Roth.
