Digital Camera POTY Portfolio Category
Digital Camera magazine has extended its partnership with The Royal Photographic Society by launching a brand-new category in its annual Digital Camera Photographer of the Year competition. The new ‘Portfolio’ category invites photographers to submit a small body of their work (10 images) on any theme or subject matter, linked together with a coherent idea. Entrants will also prepare a 100 word statement to support their submission, for a £10 admission fee. DEADLINE EXTENDED TO 14TH SEPTEMBER 2010
Entries will be appraised by an expert panel, including RPS President, Rosemary Wilman.
The winning photographer will scoop a CANON EOS 7D Digital SLR Camera with 18-135mm EF-S Lens and the chance to submit their work for one of the world’s greatest photographic accolades – the highly desirable RPS Licentiateship, or the more specialised Associate distinction.
The new RPS backed category is the 11th category to be announced in the Digital Camera Photographer of the Year 2010. Having attracted more than 101,000 submissions from across the globe last year, the contest has cemented its reputation as a leading competition for anybody with a passion for digital photography.
Digital Camera POTY Portfolio category is open to both amateur and professional photographers of any nationality, with the aim of revealing images that are creative, inspirational and technically superb.
